Unfortunately, it's been a few years since I've been able to grow my own garden. Living in an apartment really makes it hard to grow much of anything. It's possible to grow your herb garden or tomato plant here or there but it isn't the same as having your own garden that you baby up until you finally get your first fruits. My husband knew I really wanted to garden this season and he offered to plow up a small little plot of land over on his Grandparents property. I was so tickled that I went out and bought a ton of seeds. I might be in over my head but I don't care. My plan is to share with you guys my challenges and my successes with my garden and if you have any tips or ideas you want to throw my way, I would love to hear them. Just
e-mail me or post a comment.
Thanks!
List of produce I've started to Germinate:
Basil- 5-10 days to germinate
Bell Pepper- 10-12 days to germinate
Cantaloupe- 7 days to germinate
Onion (Sweet)- 10-12 days to germinate
Onion (Red)- 10-12 days to germinate
Tomatillo- 5-10 days to germinate
Tomato (Sweetie)- 7-10 days to germinate
Tomato (Black Krim)- 7-10 days to germinate
Pepper (Jalapeno)- 10-12 days to germinate
Pepper (Poblano)- 10-12 days to germinate
Id plant one basil plant at a time, like a month a part...otherwise you'll have so much it will start to seed before you can use it all! Unless you make a ton of pesto and freeze it. -Mel
