A trip to Hawaii...

Sorry for the photo overload but we had such a great time in Hawaii. We stayed on The Big Island of Hawaii, which is really cool because half of it is lava fields and the other half is a tropical paradise. It's wild. We stayed over where the lava fields were and got to snorkel, swim with the manta rays, drink lots of mai tai's, see some waterfalls and amazing beaches, and relax. I was seriously bummed to have to go back to the real world but we can't stay in paradise forever. Hope everyone is having a great week!

p.s**We are still working on our house. It is coming along, feels slow but everyday we make a little more progress. I will put an update on here later.

Catching up...

Man, time sure does fly by. I have been enjoying this year so much. I took a small break from blogging (not on purpose) because I had to complete my final semester of college which consisted of student teaching everyday. This was a very big challenge for me considering I didn't want to leave my son for a second let alone for 6 hours a day. Coming home everyday all I wanted to do was cuddle with him and not think about anything else. But needless to say I'm done with school finally! There are only few times in my life when I can say I am actually proud of myself and graduating from college is one of them. After having my son I didn't think I was going to be able to do it. It was such a challenge but I'm thankful I stuck through it and finished. Now that I have graduated I can focus on building our house. We are so thankful to be able to build a house and give Rivers a life that we hope is best for him. I can't wait to share this chapter with you all.

Fort Worth Zoo

Breadwinners:
Dallas, TX

We got to spend part of the weekend visiting my awesome friend. She recently moved to Dallas from Florida, and I just love it! We had brunch at Breadwinners, and it was so yummy! The kid slept, the food was awesome, and the company was even better.

Fort Worth Zoo

First off, this zoo was amazing!! If you are ever in the Dallas/Fort Worth area you have got to go to the Fort Worth Zoo. The Lion there was roaring while we were there, it was so loud and powerful. We had such a fun relaxing day. Well, it was fun and relaxing until we got into the Dallas traffic, then Stephen and I wanted to kill each other. Seriously, Dallas has the worst traffic.

Staghorn Fern

Staghorn Fern

Ok, so this isn't exactly a flower arrangement but I had to share this plant with you guys. I have been looking for a staghorn fern forever! I was so excited when I found this beauty at Lowe's I almost bought two. There are several different ways you can mount the staghorn, (teehee) but this plant came just like this, in this pot hanger. Guess how much... come on, guess! $15 bucks! In the planter and everything. I haven't been able to find one under $40, so I haven't purchased one until now. But anyways, for you plant lovers out there, check out staghorn ferns... They are low maintenance and unique. :)

Big Boy

My little boy is so big! He cruised around the grocery store the other day in the cart, and he thought he was big stuff. It's so cute when they get so tickled over new things. I love it.

Farm Day

It's that time of year again! We spent a day working on our garden earlier this week, and it gave us the kick start we needed to get into the mojo of garden season. Our garden had been abandoned since right before Rivers entered into our world, and it showed. We had a lot of fun tilling up the garden and giving Rivers his first tractor ride.

Wreath

Winter Wreath

New Series:
Flower Arrangements

The other day we were out spending some time on our land and we picked up some juniper branches and gum balls. I have been needing a new wreath for the season and what better way than to make it for free :) Can't beat that!
