You are 38 weeks and 1 day today...We have your nursery area all ready and I feel like I could pop at any moment. We had another baby shower for you last week and you are one special little boy. There are so many people that love you already and have been so giving. I am pretty ready for you to come out into the world now. You have been a perfect baby already but you can only grow so much before I feel like you are trying to come out of my belly button. I will see you in a few days!

34 Weeks! Wow!!

 Dear Rivers,

Wow, 34 Weeks! Where has the time gone? I can't believe we are coming into the home stretch. These past few weeks have been full of so many different emotions. I get excited, scared, ready, not ready, tired, energized, it has been a roller coaster, but all worth it. You are definitely growing and moving all over the place. I think your favorite place to be is underneath my ribs :) This week I made you a teddy bear, it's not the best looking teddy bear but I hope you like it. I can't wait to meet you and I know Daddy is so excited. We love you so much already.

26 Weeks

Dear Rivers,

I have never felt more pregnant than I do this week! My stomach feels so heavy, I'm guessing because you are growing so much! I can't believe you will join us in just a few months. I read that this week you will have the most taste buds you will ever have and that I should be eating healthy because you can taste what I eat. So what do I do? I go out and buy a fridge full of fruits and vegetables. I spent all day cooking healthy meals for the rest of the week. I'm sorry for not eating healthy the first part of the pregnancy but it's all that sounded good... I think you are definitely going to be a carb lover like me. I can't get enough of the yummy fluffy breads. The book I'm reading also says that you will react to certain foods that I eat. I don't know if you like what I'm eating or not. You have been having little dance parties in my belly all week and I can't get over it, hopefully that means you like what I'm eating :). It makes me smile every time. I try and savor these feelings because I know you will be out into the world in such a short time. Your papa is so excited to meet you. He talks to you often and I hope you can hear him...He keeps saying he's going to play you Jimmy Hendrix before we go to bed, he hasn't yet but don't be surprised if you come out loving music from 50 yrs ago, that's not a bad thing though. Dear Rivers,

Wow, you continuously amaze me. I got to experience the coolest thing the other day and that was to see you move. You look so perfect and beautiful. Mimi said you were going to be a thumb sucker because we could see you sucking your thumb on the ultrasound. Your little chin kept going up and down. We were able to do the 3D-4D ultrasound with you and it showed you opening your mouth. That was pretty incredible. I think you are going to look just like your poppa... and if that's the case I'm going to have my hands full.

I think I've doubled in size from last time I wrote. I starting to wonder how much more I can grow...It's all worth it though. I can't wait to be able to play with you. I've started having a lot more energy and started doing some more crafts. I made you a piece of art work for you future room. Also, I started my seeds for my garden. I keep thinking about how I'll be almost 7 months pregnant with you when it's time to plant my seedlings...That should be fun and interesting. Thankfully the weather has been perfect here in Tyler. I'm just hoping it's not going to be a really hot summer. It's not even spring here yet and the trees have started to bloom and they smell amazing. I go visit Mimi and Poppi next week and I can't wait to show them how much I've grown and you. Hopefully I'll be able to see you again on an ultrasound soon. See you in 4 months! Dear Baby Rivers

I know this is a little late in the game but I just wanted to start writing you and let you know what's going on in the world. I'm almost 22 weeks and I think I finally felt you kick. In the ultrasound I could see you moving everywhere. We found out you were a boy on Monday and we couldn't be happier. You have been pretty sweet so far, maybe you'll be like your daddy :)... I haven't been sick much and all I want to do is eat meat! You are going to be my little carnivore :) I can't wait to meet you and daddy is so happy he's going to have a little buddy. Love you <3
